Oral and Gum Surgeries

Essential surgical care for gums, teeth, bone, and oral health.

Descriptions

Oral and Gum Surgeries are essential for treating advanced dental conditions involving the gums, teeth and the jaw bone.

Some common surgeries are

  1. Tooth extraction – removal of mobile and grossly decayed teeth having poor prognosis. In other cases like impactions (mostly third molars or wisdom teeth) and teeth that are fractured along the gums, sectioning and disimpaction is done.
  2. Bone Grafting – Procedures done in cases where extreme bone loss has happened and for implant stability, some bone has to be rebuilt.
  3. Flap Surgery – Procedure where incisions or cuts are made on the gums and raised so as to remove bacteria and eliminate pockets.
  4. Gum grafting – done in cases of receding gums to protect the root area.
